It’s Your Move started in 2019 with one 26-ft truck, a rented bay off West County Road, and Travis Cardenas doing the walk-throughs himself. Travis grew up in the Permian Basin, loaded trucks through college near UTPB, and got tired of watching Odessa families hire a name online only to have a day-labor crew show up. So he built the opposite.
How the company grew
Every truck we added, we bought. Every mover we sent, we hired as W-2 staff and background-checked. Here is the short version.
- 2019. Travis founds It’s Your Move in Odessa, one truck, local jobs only.
- 2021. A second truck and the first full-time crew chief come on; long-distance runs to Dallas and El Paso begin.
- 2023. The West County Road yard at Suite B opens with storage bays for hitch-schedule holds.
- Today. A licensed and insured fleet covering Ector, Midland, Andrews, Martin and Howard counties.
The people on your job
You will meet these names on the phone and at your door. Many of the crew are bilingual, English and Espanol, because half the Basin is.
